The practical tools that keep us connected, insured, and organized, so we can focus on the experience

• Viator
• Plaza Premium Lounges

Access 1,500+ airport lounges worldwide. We get it free through our credit card, but this is how most travelers access the same lounges without premium cards—beats paying for overpriced airport food and sitting at the gate.

• Priority Pass America

Planning & Booking

• Booking.com

Booking.com is one of our go-to resources when we’re not booking directly with airlines or hotels. We’ve often found prices to be the same—or even lower—than booking direct, with the added flexibility of free cancellation on many stays.

• Go City

When we only have a day or two in a city and want to see as much as possible, this is our move. One pass gets you into dozens of top attractions for about 50% less than buying tickets individually—lifesaver in expensive cities like NYC or London.

• Expedia

When we need ideas for our next travels, Expedia is awesome for getting an overall view in one place. Even though we like to book directly with hotels or resorts, often the prices are cheaper on Expedia — and who isn’t looking for a great deal?

If we’re not booking directly with a hotel or resort, Hotels.com has the flexibility we look for. Plus, their rewards program gives free nights — and who doesn’t want a free night?

• Hotels.com
• VRBO

n some countries and cities, it’s better for us to grab a VRBO/Airbnb rental. Sometimes we just want a kitchen, a washing machine (key for packing light!), or space for a group of family or friends in that case vacation rentals are our go-to, and we’ve stayed in them all over the world...

Where we find most of our travel gear—from luggage and tech to packing essentials and comfort items. We're building out our complete gear recommendations page with all the specific products we actually use and pack on every trip.
